So this never turned into what I hoped it would. In the beginning people sent inspirations in, but I haven't gotten anything in months. I'm kinda disappointed, but oh well it was an idea and I will have plenty more. I'm trying to think of something like this that will draw in more people. But this was a good start for me.

I just recently heard of fmylife.com, the site that has become so popular where people can write why their life sucks so much. I was trying to do the exact opposite of that, I wanted people to share good stories of inspiration, but i guess more people have bad things happen to them than good? Which is kinda sad.

Well I'm not going to delete this blog, because I still love it. But i won't be updating that much. If you want to send something in still - go ahead, you'll make my day, and I'll post it. Now I'm going to try and start a new project. I have a couple ideas I just have to put it together. I'm thinking that maybe this was a little too complex and that I have to make is simpler. So I'm working on that.

When most people hear the term hero, the first thing that pops into their head is superheros.

They picture spider man, super man, wonder woman, batman, or some other superhero saving the world.

SUPERHEROS ARE NOT THE ONLY HEROS.

YOU can be a hero.

You can be just like the superheros.

Heros can come in many shapes and sizes.

Doctors can save a life. They're heroes.
There are Heros in the army. Saving lives everyday.

The pilot who saved 150 lives yesterday is also a hero. The plane crash in the Hudson river. I think that man deserves recognition in this post. He's truly a hero. - Anonymous

A Wise Man

Once upon a time there was a wise man
who used to go to the ocean
to do his writing.
He had a habit of walking
on the beach
before he began his work.
One day he was walking along
the shore.
As he looked down the beach,
he saw a human
figure moving like a dancer.
He smiled to himself to think
of someone who would
dance to the day.
So he began to walk faster
to catch up.
As he got closer, he saw
that it was a young man
and the young man wasn't dancing,
but instead he was reaching
down to the shore,
picking up something
and very gently throwing it
into the ocean.
As he got closer he called out,
"Good morning! What are you doing?"

My Personal Experience

What's funny is that this happened to me only a couple days after I came up with the contest idea. What a great sign. =] So I think as I get the stories I'll post them, and then once I get enough to have a vote I'll post them all again and let everyone pick their favorite!

So yesterday I was having a pretty bad day, and at night I was laying in bed praying to God for help. Help with making decisions, help with getting through the hard times, help with all the drama with my friends, and for it all to just go away, and for me to just be happy. I was thinking about the friends I had lost, or aren't as close with now, and how sad that made me feel. How I just wish I could be close with them again.

Then I realized that God is my rock. How unlike some friends, he will always be there for me wherever I go, through good or bad. It empowered me. I know this is strange, but I kinda felt like he was holding me, hugging me saying it will be alright. As I felt this power embracing me I started to cry, and if you know me you'll know that it takes a lot for me to cry. I cried because I realized that friends come, and go, but God will never leave you.

I walk past people in school everyday who were once my best friends, and I think why aren't we still friends? Maybe someday we'll be close again, or maybe we never will, but there are always what ifs. With God there are no what ifs because God is the answer, and he will never leave.
I just wanted to share this with everyone because they should somehow feel how awesome God is. I feel bad for the people who don't know him. It's just so nice to realize that he's my rock, and will always be there for me, and you know, he'll always be there for you too. This inspired me, so maybe it will for you too.

Derek Redmond tore his hamstring in the 400 meters, collapsed to the ground, picked himself up and began hopping in pain to the finish line. In the world now a days all everyone cares about is looks. They see the skinny actors and actresses and in return think that they need to be like that. Some starve them selfs to look like that, while others do it the healthy way, and exercise. Either way everyone is still unhappy with the way they look. God made us all differently and we have to learn to accept that and feel beautiful. The way I look at it is as long as you're happy with yourself then that is all that matters. I think it's a great idea to want to exercise, but don't go crazy and hurt yourself. - Joy

I learned this lesson today. I had a couple of bad days in a row, and I felt so confused and unsure of everything. I felt like my friendships were falling apart, and that this blog was getting no where. The past week I hadn't recieved any inspiration, and it didn't help my already slump. So I prayed to God asking him for help in getting the word out there about my blog. And when I came on today after school I had a comment from a fellow blogger who I had told about my blog. Saying " Thank-you Joy! thank-you for finding me and my Blog and welcoming me to yours. It is truly beautiful and VERY inspirational. Stephanie" This truly made my day, and gave me hope that this blog is actually helping people. God really can work magic. - Joy Pedrow
